Bearslake Inn, is looking for someone to join our Front of House Team at the Inn, as a strong Front of House Supervisor The role is based on 48 hours worked over a 4 day week, it will include weekend working.

As our Front of House Supervisor you will be responsible for the smooth running of the service at our Quintessential 13th Century Thatched bar and pub restaurant when on shift. With a passion for customer service, you’ll be the one to lead and help enhance our reputation as a great foodie destination.

At Bearslake Inn our talented team of chefs specialise in creating dishes using only the freshest local produce and lucky for us the West Country is blessed with wonderful supplies of meat, fish and vegetables, as well as a host of small artisan producers of cheese, ice cream and smoked products. Where and whenever possible we always try to source these direct from the best farmers, fisherman or growers. Our shopping criteria is simple as one of the best pubs on Dartmoor; best quality and locally produced (if not local, then Devon), and all freshly cooked to order.

Whether introducing a new menu, telling the story of our 13th Century Thatched bar and pub restaurant, or explaining the menu choices to our customers – we are looking for someone perceptive, engaging and with a strong eye for detail.

The candidate should understand the importance of the role in generating in sales, upselling and making recommendations.

You’ll be a positive personality ready to be the face of Bearslake in our local community and take pride in everything you do.

Being the face of Bearslake you'll be polite, courteous, clean, tidy and smart in your appearance.

· Responsibilities include:

· Understand the customer journey and providing excellent customer service from the moment a customer enters to the moment they leave

· Maintaining a professional attitude at all times while front of house

· Leading the service and directing more junior members of staff in tasks who will take their direction from you

· Taking orders efficiently and accurately

· Advise customers on menu and wine choices in a positive an engaging manner, upselling additional products

· Serving tables and the customer in a conscientious fashion

· Keeping all areas clean and tidy

· Assisting the Owners in all tasks related to Front of House which also nclude managing check in of customers to ur 6 letting rooms

· Help implement and promote seasonal promotions and product offers

Barista training is preferable, although not essential.

Flexibility is expected, especially during peak trading periods such as Christmas and Bank Holidays.
